YouTube username handles are rolling out

Marketers, business owners, and creators that use YouTube username handles will soon be available — a unique @username, to identify their channel when engaging across YouTube Shorts, channel pages, in video descriptions, and in comments. Handles can also be used by others to shoutout specific channels on the platform.
“Handles join channel names as another way to identify a YouTube channel, but unlike channel names, handles are truly unique to each channel so creators can further establish their distinct presence and brand on YouTube.”
Over the next month, YouTube is reaching out to channels to let them know they can choose their handle. Be on the lookout for it!
ICYMI: YouTube rolling out a new shopping feature
YouTube is teaming up with Shopify to provide a seamless shopping experience for both viewers and creators. Creators can now link their store on the YouTube channel, giving them more opportunities to showcase products within their videos.
YouTube’s new features are an attempt to make the platform more than just a place for watching videos. I’m all for it if it means yet another platform to satisfy my need for retail therapy. 🙂
